Product Description

Who this setup is for

If you appreciate the classic Quadstar ride but want a sharper aesthetic and dialed performance, this edition is for you. This skate can be used by skaters of any level, including new skaters, but it has been designed for the elite-level skater.

The boot, comfort, and fit

The Quadstar boot is designed to strike a balance between support and responsiveness. The boot is very lightweight. The fit is secure through the heel and midfoot, with a slightly relaxed toe feel for comfort over longer sessions. The boot uses heat-moldable construction, allowing you to fine-tune hot spots or tighten heel hold at home. The upper uses durable microfiber with strategic reinforcement for stability during crossovers, lateral pushes, and quick stops. Internal padding supports the ankle without feeling bulky, providing precise feedback from the floor.

Heat molding advantages

A gentle oven heat mold allows you to shape the boot to fit your foot. This helps reduce pressure points, improves energy transfer, and increases confidence when you are committing to deep edges. Heat molding also extends comfort over time, especially for skaters who train multiple times per week.

Yes. Follow the recommended low-temperature oven molding process to fine-tune the heel and forefoot. Heat molding helps reduce pressure points and improves edge control by increasing heel lock.

Manufacturing Process

Manufacturing Process

Bont is one of the few skate brands that still handcrafts boots using an inside-out manufacturing method. This approach is far more skill-intensive and time-consuming than mainstream production, but it allows us to create boots with the performance, strength and responsiveness skaters expect. While it increases production costs, it delivers a lighter and more precise final product.

We continually refine our processes to maintain the highest quality. For example, traditional vacuum curing for carbon has been replaced with pressure wrapping, which applies four atmospheres of pressure instead of one. This produces a more consistent and durable carbon layup.

Inze Bont’s engineering innovations have helped optimize our production line so we can build handmade monocoque boots efficiently without compromising craftsmanship.

Our manufacturing methods reflect our performance philosophy: lighter, stronger and faster.

For more detail on individual components of our construction, explore the technical dropdowns on this page, including Last Design, Footbed, Liner, Anti-Stretch, Carbon Fiber, Upper and more.

Anti-Stretch Reinforcement

Anti-Stretch Reinforcement

Our proprietary Anti-Stretch material has strength characteristics similar to Kevlar. It is placed between the outer layer and the boot’s internal skin to help prevent unwanted stretching.

To keep this layer stable, we stitch it to the outer and bond it to the liner, making it a permanent part of the boot’s structure. This construction helps Bont boots hold their shape and resist stretching far better than many competitor boots.
