Ordering Information

Freight Information

We use a weight-based system to calculate freight charges. Each item is assigned a weight unit—typically 1kg—unless it's considered a bulky item. The first 1kg is the most expensive, so adding more items to your order significantly reduces the freight cost per item.

To give you an idea:

  • 1 set of boots ≈ 1kg
  • 1 set of frames ≈ 1kg
  • 1 set of wheels ≈ 1kg

Freight charges increase in 1kg-5kg increments. So, while the total freight cost may rise slightly with each additional kilogram, your average freight cost per item will go down as your order size increases.

Taxes

All taxes, customs duties, and import fees are the buyer's responsibility. These charges vary by country, so please check with your local customs office for more details.

Shipping Origin

Most orders are shipped from China, while ice blades are shipped from Taiwan.

We operate two factories in China: one in Dongguan (DG) and one in Fuzhou (FZ). Depending on the items in your order, your shipment may arrive in two separate parcels. Unfortunately, we are unable to combine shipments from these two locations due to local shipping regulations and tax compliance requirements.

The Bont Size System

Bont has been making skates for over 50 years, and our original sizing was based on the old UK system. Back then, this was standard across many performance footwear brands. However, as major athletic shoe companies moved their production to Asia, their sizing gradually shrank. For example, a Bont size 8.5 now fits similarly to a Nike size 10.5.

With the rise of online orders and global customers, we are transitioning to a more accurate and universal sizing method based on millimetres (mm).

This change is a significant investment, as it requires updating all of our lasts (the foot-shaped molds used in production). As a result, Bont will operate with two sizing systems in parallel until the full transition to the mm-based system is complete.
